I would start with one of the bigger pieces of the giraffe or larger animal print and cut it to 12 1/2", use it as a center block as is. Then take some of the smaller animal prints and work in with the other batiks and materials for the other blocks.

exactly my plan, man. actually, i have had the row drafted and all this cut up for weeks, just haven't gotten it put together yet.

had to spend about one hour on the phone with my computer geek, ie:my wonderful son, to figure out how to get the photo from my photo program to here. whew! who knew how much work it could be.

OK...Here's my row. I have included a note stating that this is meant to be a Blue Christmas themed quilt, not a religous themed one.

It was hard to get the whole thing up close so I included a close up of two of the snowglobes.

The center is a Nativity scene

Love the snow globes. Never thought to do a whole quilt with them. I can't wait to see the finished product!

I "Love" your Theme ..... How darn cute this is! Would never have thought to do this. Is your entire quilt going to be Snow Globes? If so ..... are they to be related to the Christmas season .... or will they incorporate other kinds of figures, scenes and/or seasons? -- RNUNU

How does someone get made group leader? I was very surprised to be listed as mine. Having not done a swap like this in the past, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. I also am a bit unclear about whether our first row should have already gone out in the mail... or is the first row the row we did that is supposed to go out by February 15th?

I am feeling like I will be letting down my group by being its leader since I am such a newbie at this.
