Okay everyone ... made my final decisions... YEAH! ... still using the same theme, "Neighborhood at Dusk", still using the same colors, gray, black, white, taupe, camel and any shades thereof but, I decided on a whimsical style quilt because I wanted it to be fun, using buildings and houses and my personal row will be one long row and yes, I will be doing some applique with a touch of embroidery. When you see it you'll see how 12" blocks or 6" blocks, stacked, or any combination of those or another straight row or whether your rows are patched or pieced, whatever, will all work perfectly ...think of a spread out neighborhood. Add to it in whatever quilt form you feel comfortable with.

Sherry, I found this set of instructions here on the board.

    Is this the same thing?

Yvonne, I have some ideas for yours but I will have to see your part to know if they are in line with what you want.

I am pretty clear in my own mind what I want for mine. The key is to communicate it effectively. It will be fun to see what we end up with.

    Marlee is beautiful. Congratulations!

To clarify: Please ID the blocks you make with a sticky note, address label or similar. Please pin them together so I know who made which blocks. I will send along a label for each of you to sign, etc. to go on the BACK of my quilt when it's finished. Does that help?

Yvonne - I have some ideas running around in my head for your theme. Looking forward to seeing what you send!

Marylane, I do not get the pictures from your attachment on my computer. However, I clicked on the blank areas and it looks like the same hanky. I will also send instructions of how to fold with my row.
Yvonne, does your row have to be buildings? I thought of some other scenes that are in the neighborhood at dusk.

Sounds just fine to me, Sherry. Good luck on your surgery tomorrow! Think how much better you'll feel ... well, maybe not immediately but, down the road!

Everyone ........... I've "fifty eleven " other things going on right now but will figure out a way to post when I get further along. Will probably use my row as the center row but not fully clear to me at the moment.

I have been in the hospital from Thurs. through Sat. with chest pain and tests. It sure was painful. My surgery is Fri. Thank you Yvonne. I will be glad when it is all over. I can't wait to see all of your pictures as you progress on your rows. Hugs, Sherry

Thank you Jane. I found the neatest things for your row. In fact, to my surprise, I found blocks that were already made in 30's reproduction with white backgrounds. They are in yellows, orange, green and white. They are beautiful. Each block is different, but they all have the same material in them. So, I have your blocks all done. He! He! I hope you like them.
