I wondered about row 9 also, and noted that many of our rows were based on traditional blocks, i.e., Four Patch, Log Cabin, Stars, etc. How about another traditional block like Churn Dash or Friendship Star or Farmer's Daughter or Bow Tie or Snowball or Spool or - - you get the idea. Just a thought. Belles

I thought after the holidays you may need a easy row, but, hey its your choice, do what you feel like, but some of us may want to do a plain row which is okay too! This is such a good group whatever comes back to us will be great.

I knew we had more in common than being quilters!!!

Well, I finished my row (8) on JudyG's quilt. I followed her advice to use whatever colors I wanted and I wanted red, white and green - sorta Christmas colors. Hope JudyG will like it. I was able to take off the papers because the last rows added were cut on the grain and not on the bias. Belles
    AWESOME!!!!!

materialgrl, your reasoning was excellent! Between the holidays and after finishing eight rows, some participants might want to put on a plain row just to take a breath. However, some overachievers, not mentioning any names, may want to continue adding pieced, paperpieced or appliqued rows to the project. And you're right - either way is great. Belles

Actually, what I typed was "However, some overachievers, not mentioning any names (but her initials are GRAMAKITTEN)..." Then I thought better of it and deleted the last five words! Somehow I'm not surprised that you recognized who I was talking about! Belles

WHEW, I sure was hoping the initials wasn't "materialgrl" cause I couldn't ever be considered the over achiever type. thanks for clarifying that belles

Shaysmema, even though I've finished the 8th row of JudyG's quilt, I am waiting until after Christmas to mail it to you. I'm too afraid it will get lost in the final days (or is it daze?) before the holiday.

Also, I don't remember Gramakitten if I told you I received your latest shipment - well - I did, but haven't opened it yet because I'm sure what to do with row 9. Merry Christmas to all! Belles
