That sounds really interesting Judy. I think I like that idea. I would go with the 6 rows & then starting a round starting with a 4" border I think the 2" border is small.

Question? I always do rectangle quilts. Can you cover up with a square one? I would think that it wouldn't be long enough. This is me trying to think too early.

I have a couple of square ones. They are perfect for covering up while sitting in a chair, or on the couch. You could always add a footer and header when you get yours home if you wanted to take it to a rectangle shape!

hi to all the materialgirl row robins, i wanted to let you all know i am going to be sewing the rows i have next week. i will pm before i mail them along. i emailed judy to let her know my dad passed away this past saturday and is now at peace. dementia takes your loved ones away twice. he took a turn for the worse on 3-15 and passed on 3-26. i appreciated the cards from valerie (belles) and mish (michelle). i let judy know that i am passing on the next quilting project. but i will be watching......... thanks for a great experience, lilinmichigan lily (i forgot to thank sandy for the pattern and the squares-very thoughtful)

Ripped, it appears you haven't seen your quilt in awhile. I have done Patty's row and my row and pictures are attached. I've included a closeup of the last four row since I don't think you've seen at least 3 of them. I will send it off to Lil after she has had a chance to get settled down after her father's death and has had time to do the rows she is working on for Bernie's and Material Girls quilts. It will probably make the trip with me to Washington at the end of the week as I don't want to put any pressure on Lil by her having so many quilts to work on.
