Can you do machine embroidery for these blocks? Just wanting to know if this is an option :)

I think I would like to do this, as I love swaps and have tons of Christmas fabrics. I will look for some Santa patterns.

Question: Can we use some cute Santa fabric and make something traditional like log cabin blocks? Or does it need to strictly be some type of Santa block? I know how to paper piece and applique, but I'm more traditional in my piecing. What say you?

    Thank you. :)

What does the rest of the group think. Do you mind if people make a traditional block with santa fabric or do you want to be strictly Santas?

I don't mind if it's a block with santa fabric.
I think it will just help to break up the quilt and give it a good overall sampler type feel.
already have my patterns picked out!
now to just get time to sew them!

I'm good either way. :) I have some sweet santa fabric that would look cute if I fussy cut it, however, I think having all santa blocks would look nice too.

As far as I go, anything as long as santa features on it is fine.
