Santa block swap ( signup closes July 15, 2010)
#202
Before I do the wrong thing, I have some 4.5"blocks, which if there are 3 together, will make up a 12.5", can I send these, or do you want them made up into 6.5"blocks? It will be no problem adding a border. Luckily I remembered to look again before posting them.

Hello everyone,
I have never done a swap before! Is this a good start for newbies like myself? I love christmas! Can we do diffrent material or just santa? Does it need to be a santa block? Do they all need to match or can they be diffrent? I have alot of christmas fabric to use up. Thanks so much :) :)

Welcome to the board Aully. I also am a newcomer, and I'm doing this swap. So feel welcome to join. This is a just santa swap, see first post on page 1. They can be all the same or different. I sent 6 X 6.5 inch blocks yesterday, and only two were similar, but santa must feature on all.Bye for now.

Aully,
Hope you enter, the swaps are a hoot. There are two different swaps one is all 121/2" blocks featuring santa.
The other is varied sizes that are divisible by three,i.e. 3x3, 3x6, 3x9. 6x6, 6x9 6x12 and so on. Of course unfinished size would be 31/2x 31/2 and so on.
They can be santas in any form, applique(machine or hand) embroidery, paper pieced, lots of options. they don't have to be all the same in each set. Oh I forgot, the first swap is sets of 12, second swap is sets of 6. So you can be very creative, and above all, have a blast.

:D Welcome Aully,
I'm newish here too and this is my first Santa swap - a hint, check out page 3 where there are pics of Santa pieces, I found these helped me decide to join. I'm doing various shaped/sized blocks, probably mostly with santa material rather than 'creating' a santa.
Hope this helps,
Sue x(rummage)

Please add me to the swap for 12 1/2" santa blocks. This is my first swap. How exciting! There's some retro santa fabric I have which I can't wait to use. When I was growing up, my mom made me and my baby doll matching new pjs every year. Last year they came out with a retro santa fabric just like mom used before it was retro.

Is anyone else doing this swap from Canada? I can send the money for return postage but unfortunately I can't buy a US return postage stamp in Canada. Do you have a paypal account so I can send/forward you the money? Thanks so much!
