Should I do the background in white or a light cream color?
Since Santa is going to be red & white, I was wondering if he will show up enough on a white background. :?:
    Any suggestions???
What about a dark background. Santa 's usually around at night.

Both of my sets are on dark backgrounds. I didn't even think to ask.

I've got two on a light background and the others on darker backgrounds. It all depends on what he's doing. Is he delivering presents - night - therefore dark; but last minute rush at the North Pole, I could see as being light; or a tired Santa taking off his boots after his all-night delivery - that would be light. Just my opinion, of course.
But I can see it going either way.

Where did you find the pattern for the wandering santa with the walking stick? I love both of the blocks that were made using that pattern! It's amazing how the use of different fabrics changes the outcome.
Do a google search for santa coloring books, and scroll through until you find him. On dd's computer, will look up exact site and pm you when I'm home.

I found my Santa with the walking stick at: http://www.grandparents.com then you look under 'coloring pages' - 'Christmas'. I found a couple of cute ones there. Then I found some cute ones at other quilt shops when I went on a 'virtual' shop hop via computer.

Received your Santa blocks, they are awesome. Can't wait till the swap begins. I want to put mine with the snowmen and winter block swap. I think it could be a cute quilt.

Did you end up with two or three parcels? I sent a third about 2 days after the large santas.
