Our Santa's are 12 inch - MishNjim!
My DH enlarged the block from a 4 inch pattern (and between you and me I think he left out a 1/4 inch seam somewhere - but I don't want to hurt his feelings!!)
That is why he (and I!) had so much trouble getting them together and they are a scant 12 1/2 inch in places - but I just couldn't throw out all that fabric and start again - it would have hurt his feelings (and broke my heart to waste fabric!) So whoever gets them and is working them into thier quilt - please be kind!!!!!

Don't despair! I am doing option 2 - the 12 inches are DH's!
OK - I'm not planning the sme blocks but I have a nice 3 in set of embroidered santa's and plan a 6 x 3 (or 9 x 6) not sure yet - but that will be a pieced santa!!
