WOW - good for you. "Happy dance". You're making me work harder. Had to go out today and buy more fabric, wash and iron it. Made 80 more because of my goofiness. Some were small by 1/8 inch and some by much more and it's the "much more" that I have to cover. Gotta make the goal I set, so they are all done but the signature (which will be done tomorrow). I know I'm a day late but they assured me at the PO that with priority mail they will be there in time. PHEW.

Got some bad news last night. Hubby's brother has gone into diabetic coma and they think that he has had a stroke. Will know more tomorrow. But I will get these blocks off to Norbana "come hell or highwater". Worked too hard not to. Prayers please for my BIL.

I must have missed one of my notifications for this swap, so I haven't seen any postings for awhile. I could have saved some time by not scrapping so many that were 1/8th or less off, but not a full 3 1/2". I took lots of them apart and tried to use the patterned fabric, since it was the white fabric that was off. Had some success, but wasted a lot of time trying to get it right before giving up and cutting different fabric! Found that it was the lighter weight white fabric that did not hold it's shape. Used a heavier/higher count fabric and there was hardly any trimming to be done.

It was all from my white stash, some I accumulated from a friend I met in 1996. Before she passed away in 2004 at age 96, she gave me all her stash, as well as her quilting frame. The pieces of white that I ended up using last were large triangles left over from a project I don't remember doing myself.I avoided them in the beginning because of the shape.
