I had 180 blocks. I used a 12-1/2" pieced block in the center and then it was 14 rows wide by 14 rows long. The 12-1/2" block replaced 16 blocks. If you had all 196 blocks you would not need the center block. I do have duplicate blocks in my quilt, I just used everything that was sent back to me. I made sure than none of the duplicates ended up next to each other. I did not take the time to square up each block, that would have driven me insane, however...I did go through a can of spray starch to help keep them all flat which worked beautifully! I still haven't backed it, I haven't decide yet how I want to do that or if this will become a roman shade in my sewing room...the dimensions are just right for that.

I used 168 blocks, 12 blocks across by 14 down. My centre label took the place of 4 blocks. The siggy blocks measure 44" x 50" and so far I have added a 1" border and will add another (don't know what size yet).
I also used duplicates and didn't square each block unless absolutely necessary.

I made extra siggy blocks for everyone to sign at my quilt retreat. Right now I'm making blocks for my quilt guild to sign in November(around 100 members). I figure it's a lot faster turn around time if I make the blocks myself. This way I'll have lots of signature blocks for my quilt. It's really shaping up nicely. Hugs to each of you who made a block for me. I never tire of reading over them as folks will do for generations to come!!!
I'm really enjoying seeing the pictures. Hopefully, I'll have mine together before Thanksgiving!

I sent in 174 blocks, recieved 162 back and I still have 52 doubles and had 3 from one lady. I can do a list if anyone is still in need of blocks, or would swap for ones I don't have.
