I HAVE MADE A DECISION..........I am not going to open anything tomorrow. I am going to put them ( I got 2) under my tree (if I put one up) and leave my pressies there until Christmas morning. maybe

Is it for sure? Are we waiting another week to allow all the packages to arrive? How many are still missing, anyone know? I don't mind waiting, it's going to be a late night for me tonight. I'm handing goodie bags out to six busloads of Marines leaving for a war zone, so I may sleep through the time tomorrow anyway (not really) But y'all leave me a note if we're all going to wait, my packages are being very very good and not calling out to me very much...

Oh boy it's almost time!!! We aren't really waiting are we? My package is getting all excited and trembling all over! I can tell it's ready to come out and play!

I will bring coffee and tea, but I need to know about these fart cookies. Is there a thread somewhere? Sounds like the perfect gift for my bil, Farticus!

Sandpat, I sure am sorry your gift didn't get to you. I had trouble with mine getting to it's destination and thought I was going to have to re-send it too. I know your SS feels awful about it.

My son who works third shift is still hiding my box for me. I asked him for it tonight and he says... uuuhhh when are you "suppose" to open it ? Well.. uh tomorrow, but I don't want to wake you to get it No way lady you get it in the morning ... :shock: You might still open it early :oops: Boy did he take his responsibilty serious or what :?

here's the recipe:
MAMA'S FART COOKIES

In a large mixing bowl combine -
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. Crisco
1 c. molasses (this is mole - *sses, hence the name ;) )
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. of cloves
1 t. of salt
2 t. of baking soda dissolved into 1 c. of water
1 c. of raisins (optional)
5 c. flour (Sindy didn't say all p. but I think so, since you do add b. soda...not sure though)

Mix it all up nice and good. Then drop by the spoonful onto your cookie sheet. I use a lg. soup spoon for this. Bake at 350 for anywhere from 10-13 mins. It will depend upon how big you made your drops. Cookie will be cake like in texture when done. While cookies are still warm, sprinkle generously with powdered sugar.
