Santa always put one piece of coal in the toe of our stockings when my sisters and I were growing up. My Mom told us that was because Santa knew EVERYTHING and we must not have always been well-behaved. I believed it for years.

You know that we love you, Dream Girl.....
We don't want you to be cold, Dreamer....the North Pole is a lovely place, but it can get a bit chilly...

My sons received a piece of coal in their stockings nearly every year...will need to look for it.
I'm pretty sure that one of them could receive it again this year. Would have to flip a coin to see which one gets it...probably a good thing that they have their own homes and I don't know very much of what goes on....

We had a piece of coal that circulated. The giver had to state a good reason to give to that person (when they opened it) and then next year that person got to give it to another! My daughter lost it one year so she got a new bunch the next for loosing it!!
Dreamer - those packages don't have coal - way too heavy to send - I beleive they are bar supplies...bottles of good things, glasses, munchies, and mixers so you can entertain us when we visit!!!!

I just kept adding to my santa package. I lost track of the limit we were suppose to stay within. Doesn't mean my special person will like it, but I hope so. Ho! Ho! Ho!
