Dreamer, do you know "A Hard Candy Christmas"? It was a Dolly Parton song. I haven't heard it for a long time, even though I live right down th road from Ms Parton. Would love to have you sing it - if you can....

Just wondering if anyone elses turkey is still realtively frozen. I took mine out of the freezer on Saturday and set it on the top shelf of the fridge. Birdzilla is still pretty much frozen. I guess I'll leave it out tomorrow to thaw.
Gran of six have you ever tried the spiked eggnog you can get at the liqour store? I'll bring a bottle to the corner and you can try it with me. Anyone else like to join us?

Is there any other eggnog but spiked? This is the first year I am not defrosting a teradactyl. Yeeeepeeee! We are going to friend's house for the feast.

I haven't tried it because I am lactose intolerant; but I will try the spiked part of the egg nog. We used to make it back when I was a kid. But with the raw egg fuss, I would go with the stuff from the liquor store. I guess if there is enough alcohol, it wouldn't matter whether I was lactose intolerant or not. Is there any vodka floating around? I am a vodka drinker too. And no one has mentioned Mimosas, we can drink them for breakfast.

Mimosas did someone just say mimosas? I almost got whiplash from my head spinning around! Every day would be better if we started it with a mimosa!!!!!!!!!!!! IMHO anyway.

Hey, maybe I'll dye my hair
    Maybe I'll move somewhere
    Maybe I'll get a car
    Maybe I'll drive so far
    They'll all lose track
    Me, I'll bounce right back
    Maybe I'll sleep real late
    Maybe I'll lose some weight
    Maybe I'll clear my junk
Maybe I'll just get drunk on apple wine
    Me, I'll be just

    Fine and Dandy
Lord it's like a hard candy christmas
    I'm barely getting through tomorrow
    But still I won't let
    Sorrow bring me way down

    I'll be fine and dandy
Lord it's like a hard candy christmas
    I'm barely getting through tomorrow
    But still I won't let
    Sorrow get me way down
    [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/c/c...christmas.html ]
Hey, maybe I'll learn to sew
    Maybe I'll just lie low
    Maybe I'll hit the bars
Maybe I'll count the stars until dawn
    Me, I will go on

    Maybe I'll settle down
    Maybe I'll just leave town
    Maybe I'll have some fun
    Maybe I'll meet someone
    And make him mine
    Me, I'll be just

    Fine and dandy
Lord it's like a hard candy christmas
    I'm barely getting through tomorrow
    But still I won't let
    Sorrow bring me way down

    I'll be fine and dandy
Lord it's like a hard candy christmas
    I'm barely getting through tomorrow
    But still I won't let
    Sorrow bring me way down

    I'll be fine and dandy
Lord it's like a hard candy christmas
    I'm barely getting through tomorrow
    But still I won't let
    Sorrow bring me way down

    'Cause I'll be fine
    (I'll be fine)
    Oh, I'll be fine

Yup, my 20# bird isn't as thawed as I would like...but don't let it out on the counter. That's a good way to get sick. Stick it in the sink in a cold water bath...check out the Butterball site. They will give you all the info.

As you can see, most of us just like to tease Dreamer....cuz she's such a good sport and so naughty most of the time...
