DebbieS, I've never known anyone to just send a single $20 item -- but you could if your Santee has a bigger item on her wish list. Plus many of us add extras from our stash, doodads from the Dollar Store, extras from our stash -- all things that we don't count toward the $20. I figure the $20 is for new quilting/sewing goodies -- the rest is just good fun to make someone's Christmas merrier.

This was a great idea. Here's mine.

    1. What's your favorite color? I love all colors but I'm partial to mixed reds/whites, reds & the wonderful "Shabby Chic" colors. I think the soft pinks/greens/blues/yellows/whites with different colored prints/designs on them are gorgeous! Worst color? Doesn't exist in my world.

    2. Fabric type - Batik, solids, floral, Civil War, 30's, other? I seldom do solids & love tone on tone colors. Also novelty fabrics & above #1. I don't do quilts with a lot of dark/Civil War type fabrics; I like the colors individually but it's too much all together for me. Love florals, 30's, etc.
A fabric design I never do is paisley. Weird 'cause I had a paisley dress in high school a hundred years ago I liked wearing. Now it makes my brain want to throw up.

    3. Quilting style - traditional, modern, scrappy? Ummm, don't have a particular style.

    4. Pets? what kind & how many? We have two dogs, Gracie & Princess. Three cats, Duchess, Hannah & Sam. Because our DD & family live in an apartment Sam (14) & Maltipoo Princess (1) live with us. Only Hannah goes into my Playroom.

    5. Coffee or Tea? Don't drink coffee...have to be sweet southern iced tea.

    6. Chocolate - love it or hate it? Love it.

    7. Do you prefer homemade gifts or store bought? I love homemade but I always use & appreciate store bought, too.

    8. What's your favorite flower? Love all my flowers, I could never choose just one.

    9. Your favorite snack? Coke & peanuts, fresh fruit, sometimes cookies.

    10. What's playing in your sewing area when you're there? T.V., music, book? Sometimes nothing & sometimes Easy Listening or Praise Music. And I love Manheim Steamroller; I can really cut & sew to that!

I took the day off work to go to a long arm quilting class today at a local quilt shop. I'm going to have to spend the entire day in a quilt shop, darn. LOL. Maybe I'll find some goodies to use for this swap. I wish I had the person's name already. Oh well, no big deal.

Lots of great answers for when we get our names!

For all the newer Santa's sometimes our person doesn't post much, so don't get bummed. One year my Santa had unexpected problems and didn't have time to get on the computer. I enjoyed the package she sent, because she choose the things for me. This part is about having fun with new friends, and teasing old ones.

The soup was great and that cheesecake, yummy I have been wanting some for awhile. Fresh pot of Creme Brulee down here at the coffee bar.
