Me too! I was able to get a gadget she had on her list with the 50% Off Notions coupon and something I think she'll especially like with the 60% Off coupon. It's so much fun to shop for someone else and see how far that $20 can stretch!

It sounds like we both had a super great day shopping for our Secret Santa's at JoAnn's, with our coupons. I wonder if you could be my Secret Santa!! I also asked for something in the notions department, how coincidental!! This is getting more exciting by the hour & the day. I am so thrilled that everyone is having such a fun time playing Santa.

Just wanted to thank my Secret Santa for taking the time to ask Terri what I meant by 'knick knacks' and sewing novelties. I'm sorry I haven't been around much, but my darling mother-in-law died after a long struggle with Alzheimer's, so things have been a little hectic.

I suppose you might also call them 'gadgets'. Things like that are difficult to get here and very expensive and anything new, like Bobbin Clamps or Peels for example, take months to be sold here! Please don't worry about my parcel - although I gave a lot of info (I think!), I'm easy to please and will be happy with whatever you send. Thanks for thinking of me .

I need to answer a few more question's that have been added to the LIST!!

I LOVE all of the Holidays & decorate for them too.
I like Jig Saw puzzles of all kinds.
I prefer sweet treats like milk chocolate.
I don't garden much as I am unable to, I do love flowers though.
I don't read much, that leaves more time to sew!!
    I do like quilting magazines.
I really love hand made gift item's. I have made some for my SS.
    I like word search books.
I have a Brother embroidery machine & a Baby Lock sewing machine. Love them both.
I love to paper piece quilt blocks. I also love to do hand embroidery work.
I guess that I Love to do a little bit of everything!!

Thank you everyone for all of the ideas & question's.

I made a stocking today for my person. I have my box filled with goodies. I just have to find time to get it shipped.

I did the stocking on my serger. When I sat down to serge this morning I discovered that the sewing room fairies had managed to unthread the lower loopers. If you ever want to see me have a bad time, come over when I'm trying to thread the serger. It traumatizes me.

Super cute stocking. I applaud you for using your serger. I just gave my serger away because I couldn't get the tension right on it. I didn't have any problem threading it, but getting it to sew was a problem for me. I've decided that I'm not cut out to own or use a serger and I will stick with my sewing machines since that was the second one I've owned and couldn't make work.

Here are my answers to the last questions.

do you like to garden - not really. It's hard to garden in a mobile home park
do you like to read books or magazines - I like to read mysteries and would be interested in one of those books where quilts and quilt shops are the subjects.
are you a salty or sweets kinda person - I like both especially chocolate covered pretzels
do you like all holidays and do you decorate for them - I like all holidays, especially Christmas, and decorate for all.

Finally able to get on the board! Life does get in the way of fun sometimes and here I am 78 pages later. I'm having so much fun shopping for my new friend, but I've noticed a trend, I buy one for her and one for me. She has great taste and her list is very fun to shop for. I'm just waiting on one more item that I ordered and then her package will be ready to go. So glad I decided to join in!
