Louise, you know you're in my prayers. Thank God for our first responders. I live in an area with volunteer fire/EMT units. They are truly some of the greatest, most dedicated people on earth.

I am in Christmas mood today. Need to put up the tree put some music on and enjoy my day off. Going to wrap presents and the first one under the tree is going to be my "Secret Santa". Counting the days now.

my oldest daughter loved Xmas. she would do a different theme on her Xmas tree every yer. one year it was peacock feathers, blue and purple lights and garlands. In 2004, she spent weeks going to various thrift stores to find a white Xmas tree. All decorations were gold. she served dinner on white plates set on gold chargers on a gold table cloth. she was dress in white pants with white turtleneck sweater with a gold chain round her neck. I have a picture of her in that outfit wearing the biggest smile. It was her last Xmas with her as she passed in August 2005
What a devastating thing... to lose a child. But I am so glad that you have your wonderful memories of her. I an sending hugs to you!

RoseIrish, your daughter really set a pretty table & dressed well to host the holidays!!! Bless your heart!
Our boy went to God in 2008 & in my mind I still see & hear his delights as he decorated the yard & house with Christmas lights especially when people would do break checks to see his work there. I still have the giant bulb made from clear plastic shot glasses with colorful lights to cheer the season. Great memories!

LOL, so glad you caught this and told me! I think we went back and forth between the 4th and the 11th, and I had the 4th stuck in my head. I got a brain injury from a fall last year, and my mind ain't what it used to be -- but I'm still here!
