djmat: as a mom-in-law of an active airman in the military, I couldn't appreciate that song more. Thanks for sharing.

One of the best Thanksgivings for us was serving the USN 5th Fleet a feast with all the trimmings in Jufare, Bahrain. The host was a retired Marine outta Oklahoma who still owns & personally runs the restaurant like it was stateside. The military personnel were absolutely delighted & we were in awe of them. One NOLA seaman ate half a cajun fried turkey!!! We were still bringing out pies & they were carting them back to the base 4 blocks away to share with "on duty" pals. Wonderful memories. Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
    hugs,
    dj

I just realized, (I think) that I forgot to post that my package arrived from my SS last week. Yes it rattles hope that is okay :0) I had it sitting where I could see it but decided to move it to the guest bedroom out-of-site-out-of-mind sort of thing.

To my SS recipient. I APOLOGIZE WHOLEHEARTEDLY right here and now for the glitter wrapping paper I used for some of your gifts.... you will have glitter in places you never knew you had places.

After I packaged your box my floor was literally glittering. I've vacuumed the floor and carpet and I still find a glitter sparkle showing up after three sweepings! Oh sigh...hope that your eyes glitter with gifts and you will forgive me for not shaking the paper a lot before using it....They just don't make wrapping paper like they used too!!!!
