I am with Nessie.....I have read this thread each evening and have had many chuckles with all the topics! Prayers of hope for all that are going through "rough" times.

I don't post much on this swap. We have a long time to wait for opening day. You can only give so many clues, etc to do with the swap. People get upset if you don't post, others get upset by lots of posts and topics. It makes me scared to post anything. What's the difference between talking about an imaginary hole that hasn't really got anything to do with a Christmas swap and wasting reading time or talking about various other topics that exist. In my area older people say pop, the younger generation say soda and others say soda pop. We also say dress your feet, get a wiggle on, right out straight, ayuh and a whole lot of other things. We eat Finnhaddy, corned hake and cheesy dry fish.

I enjoy learning about things where other people live. I think it is pretty interesting. We don't have any such stuff like that here. We live in a small town where not much goes on but growing potatoes, beets and corn. With a lot of rednecks-which I consider my family a mild version of them. Definitely not like the ones on tv, but my 9 yr. old would live in camo if I let him. We call it pop here. And we love our fry sauce which last time I was back East they did not have. Times may have changed in the last few years though. So interesting how everywhere is so different.

We call it COKE. I am from Georgia ya know! I think I have finished gathering up my SS gifts to get ready to mail. Plan to wrap them and package tomorrow evening. Still need to finish making something. I have not received my package but that is ok too. Enjoy reading about everyone. I have been under the weather too. Multitasking as usual. Got to get this out Friday because of a colonoscopy on Monday. Had allergy testing today. Football Friday nights. Fall Festivals. Fairs. You name it it is going on. But the package is definitely coming together. Thank the Lord for lots of time, I did a senior quilt too, and working on some Christmas wall quilts for my Mom;'s antique store, got to be ready for Nov 13th. This has been fun. Prayers to all of those experiencing illness. Cant wait until opening day!

Sounds like a pretty good place to me - and i think some things have changed cuz we are all getting scattered around but dragging our happy places along with us. I love Texas....been here about 1/3 of my life - but i'd give quite a lot to be able to spend Friday nights having a beer with old friends at Sunny Jim's back "home".

Get a wiggle on means You've got to get going-hurry up. We've got to get a wiggle on or we will be late.
