My DD wouldn't agree, she loves snakes?? Weird I know, she's even been bitten by them. Me I stay as far away as I can.

MizMelly, remember to bring a large tote bag with you, for when you fall into the hole. It'll come in handy, when we 'just happen to run across' stuff. I prefer the mesh totes, as they're nice and stretchy.

We have quite a few snakes, in my neck of the woods. If they get too close to the house, we just chase them back toward the creek. They, along with the owls and other assorted predators, help keep the rodent population under control. I'd much rather see a snake, than a rat.

I so agree with this. When I see one all I can do is say "snake, snake" the dh says where! Now my lab will try to catch them black bears and skunks. He still needs to learn that the last two don't run off but hold their ground.

He has caught a few snakes and some other critters. He likes birds at the feeder but not the owls, vultures and hawks.

Well it's time to start pondering on joining up on this again. It would be my second year and I received a great box last year. I just have to see if my house cleaning job is going to pick me up again since she moved. It's only $10 a week but it's my "swap" money. If she does... I'm in. When wass the last day to sign up again Teri?

    Toodles,
    Tricia

Neesie, you are a true Pioneer Woman. I hate snakes, absolutely hate them. Those creepy crawlies give me the heebie jeebies. If we come across any during our midnight raids... er, stash runs, you handle 'em. Okay?

I'm feeling faint; think I need a splash of rum or kahlua in my coffee. Anyone else?

Wow...i've been away for a few days - been to the State Fair - talked to Big Tex....he said he'd be glad to help dig the hole bigger for us Ladies....But you all have been busy busy. Neesie - i agree- i'm always glad to see a snake in my garden - just have to make sure DH doesn't see it - he hates them. Wish i could keep a big one like yours around to chase the dang squirrels away.
Oh...i was just reminded...Big Tex wanted to say Merry Christmas Y'all....

I have to say that I like the picture of Big Tex a whole lot more than the picture of Big Snake. I don't see many snakes but when I do, I go the other way.
