Some trivia for everyone to enjoy.

    1. What is the name of Scrooge’s one-time fiancee in Dickens’ “Christmas Carol.”?

    2. What fabric was Frosty’s hat made of

    3. According to Dickens, just how dead was Jacob Marley?

    4. Who was president of the United States on Christmas 1989?

    5. What country started the tradition of exchanging gifts?

    6. What was the name of George Bailey’s family business in “It’s A Wonderful Life.”?

Can't give the answer to any of those questions. That would take too much brain power, and since I am retired I don't do anything that takes too much brain power.

My daughter still grumbles that we never made gingerbread houses when she and her brothers were little. I was lucky to get food on the table on time, let alone take days and days to bake gingerbread houses and assemble them. We used to bake lots of cookies though and they always enjoyed helping.

We should try to get together sometime. Sounds like we would have lots of fun. The only trouble with the lunch is that it is 3 o'clock and I am hungry already. Herbal tea isn't cutting it either.

OOOOHHHHH YES!!!! I'll take IL Divo any day, any time...they could sing the ABC's and it would be dreamy.

I love my Elvis Christmas albums!

    I hear the bells
    Saying Christmas is near
They ring out to tell the world
That this is the season of cheer

    I hear a choir
    Singing sweetly somewhere
And a glow fills my heart
I'm at peace with the world
As the sound of their singing fills the air

Oh why can't every day be like Christmas
Why can't that feeling go on endlessly
For if everyday could be just like Christmas
What a wonderful world this would be

    I hear a child
    Telling Santa what to bring
And the smile upon his tiny face
Is worth more to me than anything
