    [h=1]Christmas Bells[/h] I heard the bells on Christmas Day
    Their old, familiar carols play,
    And wild and sweet
    The words repeat
    Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
    And thought how, as the day had come,
    The belfries of all Christendom
    Had rolled along
    The unbroken song
    Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
    Till, ringing, singing on its way
    The world revolved from night to day,
    A voice, a chime,
    A chant sublime
    Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
    Then from each black, accursed mouth
    The cannon thundered in the South,
    And with the sound
    The Carols drowned
    Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
    And in despair I bowed my head;
    'There is no peace on earth,' I said;
    'For hate is strong,
    And mocks the song
    Of peace on earth, good-will to men!'
    Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
    'God is not dead; nor doth he sleep!
    The Wrong shall fail,
    The Right prevail,
    With peace on earth, good-will to men!'

    [h=1]It Came Upon A Midnight Clear[/h] This timeless classic was written by Edmund Hamilton Sears in 1849. The carol started life as a poem written by its author who was a minister living in Massachusetts at the time. The music was composed by American musician Richard Storrs Willis in 1859, who was inspired by the words of the poem.
    It came upon the midnight clear,
    That glorious song of old,
    From angels bending near the earth,
    To touch their harps of gold:
    "Peace on the earth, goodwill to men
    From heavens all gracious King!"
    The world in solemn stillness lay
    To hear the angels sing.
    Still through the cloven skies they come,
    With peaceful wings unfurled;
    And still their heavenly music floats
    O'er all the weary world:
    Above its sad and lowly plains
    They bend on hovering wing,
    And ever o'er its Babel sounds
    The blessed angels sing.
    O ye beneath life's crushing load,
    Whose forms are bending low,
    Who toil along the climbing way
    With painful steps and slow;
    Look now, for glad and golden hours
    Come swiftly on the wing;
    Oh rest beside the weary road
    And hear the angels sing.
    For lo! the days are hastening on,
    By prophets seen of old,
    When with the ever-circling years
    Shall come the time foretold,
    When the new heaven and earth shall own
    The Prince of Peace, their King,
    And the whole world send back the song
    Which now the angels sing.

    All right, except 17 was Jingle Bells but I think Carol of the Bells works just as well.

    Hey, would you guys like to see what I did today? I made Heidi a new coat. Some of you know she LOVES to dress up, and some of you have never seen her....so here she is modelling her new coat I made her. BTW her favorite color is purple. I had enough of the lining for a blanket, so the last one is her loving her new blankie.

    Ok, update on the sewing machine. I did some research and now I'm IN LOVE with the Quattro 2. But...it's listing at $7999..UGH! So, since it's what I want, I can wait, save my money and maybe, just maybe I can get a nice deal on one at one of the quilt shows. Mid Atlantic Quilt Show is in Feb and then there are 3 on the same weekend in Lancaster, PA, which I will be at all 3!! woohoo!

    I am still waiting for my SS package Hopefully it will get here soon. But, on the bright side, I won't have to stare at it to long before I get to open it
