Happy New Year everyone!! I think mine is going to start out expensive. I think Gus has torn the ACL in his left knee now. It doesn't seem as bad as the right one. I guess I will take him to the vet this week and see if we can get him back in shape without the "bionic knee" thing again.

Well, I guess he is not all THAT bad, he just jumped up on my bed. Maybe he is just looking for some much needed attention. LOL

Off to have brunch with DS & DDIL and her family.

Poor Gus...poor Grann....I think he just wants breakfast in bed! Tink will limp sometimes if she lands funny after jumping off the furniture.
Grann, the lovely box you sent all my goodies in, has a new use...it is storing all the spools of satin ribbon that I use in my craft business. They used to live in a few zip lock bags, but that really didn't work well. The box is now stuffed to the rim with the spools. Thanks again.

I'm so glad you are enjoying the box. That is one time when the box is as good as the gift.

I found Gus jumping on my bed, so he is not too bad off. I started taking him out in the back yard on his retractable leash, but he won't poop. I guess when he figures out that he can't hold it forever, he will get the idea. If I can keep him from injuring the knee any worse, then that's a good thing. When I told my DD about him, she said, "Well, he is getting so old now I wouldn't spend the money on him." Remember she is a "retired" accountant, and Gus is 7, a young 7. I bet she would think differently if it was one of her $4000 dogs.

It isn't her dog...he is your "son"...and we can spend whatever we need to on our "kids"!

I agree Susie. My DD and SIL are in the process of selling their house and the farm in the Poconos so they can buy a farm nearby for.......get this......$4,000,000.00. Yes, you read that right. And they worry about me spending $5000 on my dog (er...son). LOL

Aw Gran, I will definitely hope the best for Gus. Maybe he just strained it and needs to rest it a bit. There has been a lot going on with the holiday. But, I almost lost my 4year old cocker spaniel in the spring. Somehow, she got a blood infection. And, it was a bit pricey for my budget. But, my "separated" husband paid for it. She's half his dog. But, I'd be lost without my furr babies. Thank goodness she got better on the antibiotic and IV for dehydration. 4 is kinda sorta young for a dog. (she'll be five around valentines day) 7 is not that old. Gus has a lot life yet. Wowzers on the house. That's a lot of house. Glad I don't have to clean it. LOL

Aloha everyone.....I just wanted to post and hopefully it's not too late for people to read....but I received a Secret Santa Angel gift from Ok Darla in yesterday's mail. It came as such a surprise and I am so very deeply touched. Her note was especially important to NOT give up hope or belief in Santa. I am attaching a photo of her gifts....a charm pack and a "We Believe" counted cross stitch kit. Thank you so much Ok Darla....I am so touched.
