Welcome new star makers. Finally made it to sewing the stars. Judt when I got into a rythym, took another look.
Yes, got it wrong. Did the frog thing, resewed, looked again, yes another wrong un. Six times so far, and still not right.
Leaving them until another day. Preferably one that doen't involve headache.

Got my material and have it washed. Going to try Carolyn's star first thing tomorrow morning. Hope it turns out so I can join you all. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Not yellow......more gold-ish - maybe metallic instead. Same for the silver color - not grey.

i would love to join in on your swap of stars i have one problem where do you get the instructions for the stars you are talking about. i have never done anything like this and it sounds like a lot of fun if you could please let me know so i can join in thank you kim the real misfit

We will be choosing stars from Quilterscache.com found on page 58, The Valley of the Sun Start first 8 originals block. These stars have several variations of inner blocks. The colors that may be used are all or a combination of White, Silver, Blue, Green and Gold.

That's right...Gold...I didn't have the paper with me when I went and I was trying to remember the colors....Well...then it's a good thing I couldn't find a yellow then..HUH? LOL But I also was looking for gold and couldn't find.

A little late with this reply but thanks for the welcome. I have ordered fabrics, they were mailed today. Sure hope they are silver and gold as that is their names!

It is so great that even though this swap does not close till November 6, many of you are already stitching your stars!. Please post what you have done, I love the colors that are being shown.
