So Chele, when you decided this optional theme, what ideas or colors didn't show up that you thought would? What came up that really surprised you?

Some other talented visionary came up with this theme, so I can't take any credit. But I did know the talent would shine. It always does in this swap. I can't tell you how much fun it is to see you all create. Theme or no theme, each and every quilt is always fun, imaginative and intriguing. It's what I've always imagined this swap to be and so much more.

As for my other partner Quiltermomma - look as what she sent to me! "Puttin' on the Ritz" is so aptly named. What you can't see well in these pictures in the stunning quilting she did in each of the black blocks - Oak leave circles, two Dragonflies, and the very center square has a Singer Treadle!
How she was able to do it in such miniture squares is beyond me!
Thank you so much Quilter Momma - I truly love it.

Believe me it was not easy quilting in those little squares, but so worth it. I have not made the bow tie block before and it was fun to do. Not sure if cutting those tiny pieces was sanely, but sure enjoyed it.
