I really feel honored to have made the quilt for Heather Dawn. The funny thing is that if we had had a girl, we would have named her Heather Dawn.

Back in the day my mom didn't like the name. She said Heather was a hippy name. LOL

Heather is a Scottish name, they don't tend to be hippies. Unless, you figure in those kilts. LOL. My husband is half Scots(as he says it).

i was going to name Heather 'Timothia' after her dad but then thought if she grew up and did not like her dad she would be stuck with his name. {Which did happen} I love the color purple and I think there were some flowers that were purple that grew in the fields and were called Heather. So hence the name. Now I have Mexican Heather in my garden. It is loaded with purple.

Following is the doll quilt I made for quiltkrazy. I never did binding before. I used decorative stitching that I ended up ripping out and redoing because I was day dreaming and really screwed up. Diffrent things but it is good practice.
