D., you aren't the only one having issues! lol. Who'd have thought a mug rug could be so out of my wheelhouse? I'm working on mine for you. We'll both just do our best and laugh at ourselves in the process. Will probably mail on Monday.
I've been working on my rug the last 3 days. Haha, I've made quilts in less time. I've only made 1 simple mug rug before. I found something on pintrest but it's out of my comfort zone to make stuff without a pattern. I made 3 and will send my best one (which is far from perfect!). Practice makes perfect. Maybe I'll join another mug rug swap in the future.

Mine is basically ready to mail. It is not complicatedly pieced like the quilt blocks I am drawn to. It is reversible, and the front and back sides relate to each other in what I hope is a clever way.

The security guard put it as "hell or high water". The NW is on fire, the air full of smoke and ash, while Huston is flooded and the east is being threatened with more to come. Not a good end to the summer for most of the country.
