That's the best thing to do -- walk away from the sewing machine ... very slowly.

was hoping to sew this weekend but the sewing i did get done wasnt on the mug rug. son's GF brought me some mending to do for her and a quilt one of her clients had rec'd after Katrina that she needed to have mended. there are 12 green squares in the quilt made of a material that frays easily and most of them have frayed so seams are coming apart with no seam allowance to work with on the green squares. only one solution---raid my stash for another material in green to replace those 12 squares. bit more work but only way to really save quilt.

Saving an old quilt is really a pain, but quite a gift.

My house is so quiet this morning I could hear a pin drop. Son's and families left yesterday to journey home. Miss them already! Will get the mug rugs ready and put them in the mail today.

    Hi all,
I'd like to share with you my wonderful package that arrived today from dotcomdtcm. I had no idea she posted the package so you can imagine my surprise when I collected the mail today and saw a squishy sticking out of the box. Eeeee...

Dotty choose gorgeous fabrics to represent fall for the pieces she made. Yes, she made her signature pair of mug rugs and coordinating napkins. So very timely too Dotty since I just put up the fall decorations on Saturday. She also included a scrap quilting magazine.

Isn't everything just yummy? I think so.

Again, Dotty, thank you so much for everything.

    Happy quilting, all.

    best,
