I love the embroidered needlecase and a cute scissor holder. Was I the only person not able to get on the QB yesterday. I bet it was from the dumb electrician that came here in the morning. He was supposed to be here at 8, and I called at 9:30 and then he called back and finally showed up at 10. And he lives 10 minutes from me. He was here for 2 hours and was ready to leave when I tried the garage door and there was no power in the garage again. He did put a new circuit breaker and then it worked fine. That was only the $50 deductible. Then he hands me this other proposal of what I need to have done because I had some water in the box. That was $2430.00. So now I'm going to get another estimate and go from there. And then the night before my whole area had tornado warnings and the sirens were going off and 4 tornadoes touched down, one 5 miles away and ripped part of a roof off. I didn't know I would have this many tornadoes here. Hopefully today will be peaceful and I'm going to the Shop Hop. I'm going up to the north Amish country where 2 years ago a 17 year old shot and killed 3 students and wounded others and he had escaped last night from the prison 3 hours west of me and they thought he'd be heading back to that area. They did capture him 5 hours later and not far from the prison. I have a school friend that lives in that area. Oh my this is just too much. I hope everyone has a great day

I am so glad to see so many pretty pincushions and needle cases
    being made/posted.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love purple, so joining this swap
with the purple theme was right up my alley.

I am glad that my partner received and liked her pincushion, and I am
doubly glad that lil Miss Claire had my name and I can't wait to start using
    my pincushion.

On another note. Some of you may know (or read my post in personal diaries)
that my daughter is pregnant!, this is her eighth confirmed (yes I said 8) pregnancy
the last was being in 2008.
It has been determined that although she miscarried at 11-1/2 weeks, the baby
was only about 5 weeks. She never heard or seen ANY heartbeats with any of
    her past pregnancies.

I was with her at her 6 week, and 9 week (this past Tues) appointments and
both times we SAW the heartbeat. On Tues at her appointment we got to hear
the heartbeat, and saw first movements of a arm & legs.

They (the OB) are optimistic that this time she MIGHT be able to carry to term.
With each passing week I get more optimistic too, but yet I am still not wanting
to get my hopes up to high either.

My daughter has been trying for YEARS to get my first ever quilt, and I always
told her that it was to go to my first grand baby. Well believe me she is almost
salivating knowing that she is getting closer to getting the quilt off my wall.

Here is a photo of my first quilt.

So please keep your fingers (and toes) crossed that everything continues
to progress the way they should for her.

    Default Needle Case

I received my NC today from RedGarnet222. I just love it! Inside has 3 pockets. The kitty is a cardboard needle book. She also sent enough fabric to make another one, a bookmark, a needle threader. Thanks so much. I will definitely be using it. My friends bday is tomorrow, gonna try and make her one.

Red/Dwina what a great needlecase. Oh so cute that you got Kitty Cucumber. The reason I know is that I collect them. I only have a few pieces of fabric but I have a lot of the figurines. Well I'm back from the 3 LQS in the shop hop that are near each other. Now I only have 4 more to go. Such cute things they have, but I was looking for things that none of them had. I did get an metal spiral to put a pincushion on. The weather is cool and just what I like.
