Yeah I found my purple thang so everyone can stop looking for it. I some how got up under the edge of my sewing machine. I just happened to see a tiny piece of purple sticking out.

That is a yummy package MDMpanther. I love the hearts. They are very beautiful. I used to be able to buy hearts like that for my soldiers from Hearts for Hereo's. Unfortunately, they no longer offer that service.

Guess we will have to be patient but we don't have to like it.
My husband said that our mail man told him he thinks there going to be closing our mail office, and there hasn't been a day that I havent went in there and had to wait in line. From what they charge for postage how can the Postal Service be broke. And having to cut back! Maybe the profit isn't big enough for them you think?
With government they pay their employees quite well and then the retirement benefits are great too. A thought just struck me, they pay our military personnel crap, but they pay the civilian employees two to three times what they pay the individual who puts their life on the line? What is with that?
I completely agree. Military retirement is not that much, either. My dh is retiring after 28 years of service. I made more than he did and I am a school teacher! He will have to enter the workforce at 46 years old, with only the training he received in the service. That is pretty daunting, after serving this country. He spent the last year in a combat zone, not looking for a job. I am glad that places like the post office give these military guys and gals a leg up. Unfortunately, the post office is not hiring right now. In fact, most places are not hiring. By the time my dh pays for medical, life insurance, et cetera... his take home retirement will be less than $500 a month. That isn't even enough to pay for our groceries. He could go back to school full-time and have it paid for, but we cannot afford for him to do that because he has to earn a living.
