I got my squishy over the weekend! Thank you so much, Ann.
I got a book, a magazine, a pattern, a batting sample, two fat quarters, a pretty mug mat, and a little box to keep needles I want to discard. I loved everything!
Thank you!!!!!!!

That was a very interesting site. Have you seen the new Robert Kaufman fabrics? http://favoritefabrics.homestead.com/zoom_rk_guadpnl.html

This is seriously out of date and needs lots of fixing, but yes, I've seen those panels and have made a few quilts with them.

Apple Walnut Cake Ring
1 cup butter or margarine 1 tsp. cinnamon
2 cups sugar 1/4 tsp. Mace (I don’t use this)
3 large eggs 2 tsp. pure vanilla
3 cups all-purpose flour 2 1/2 cups, chopped apples
1 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 cup seedless raisins (opt I don’t use these)
In large electric mixer bowl, cream butter or margarine and sugar till fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine and sift flour, baking soda, salt cinnamon and mace, then add gradually to creamed mixture. Stir in vanilla, apples, nuts and (optional) raisins. Batter will be stiff. Spoon into greased, floured 10 inch tube pan (I use a bundt pan) and bake in 325 F oven 1 1/2 hours, or until wooden pick inserted in center emerges clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes; turn out onto wire rack. (Start checking the cake for doneness after an 1 and 15 min…sometimes 1 ½ hours is too long.)
Serve with whipped cream or brown sugar glaze. To make glaze, combine about 1/4 cup brown sugar with 1/4 cup melted margarine in saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in 1 Tbsp. milk and enough confectioners’ sugar to achieve spreading consistency. Spread over top of warm cake and allow to trickle down sides.

As an addition to the prayer quilt thoughts, you don't always have to use religious fabrics or patterns. Here is one that I made in a day for a man at the dog park we go to: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-143186-1.htm
