Today was a horrid day of fixed assets and depreciation that refused to balance!!! But life got all better when I arrived home from work about 45 minutes ago, because I received my SP package from Sherylb from Louisiana. In 2003, my DH and I took a 3 month road trip around the country and New Orleans was one of the stops. My package brought back great memories.

Here's a photo. There was a charm pack of 20 squares of a very beautiful and fun Mardi Gras theme - talk about rich looking fabric and colors - I LOVE the feather fabric. And a clutch bag pattern that uses these charm squares - I swear I'm a regular "bag" lady. Also a purple thang (a very versatile tool), and some misc yardage. The dark maroon one I did not have in my stash so that was a nice surprise. And a very thoughtful card to round out the thoughtful gift. I'm a happy camper!!! Thank you Sherylb.

Don't you just love this fabric?

Your cat looks JUST like my neighbor's sweet kitty, Stella, who lives here more than at her own home. She's mine, no matter what they say!!! Bring your kitty and I'll join you on the bench just to chat and pat the cat. How poetic, huh?

Yes, that is some pretty fabric and a nice pattern too!
That would definitely make your day a bit brighter!
Oh, and I can see the traces of New Orleans, how nice to get a trip down memory lane too.

I'm still on the bench. I have some awesome cookies from a bake sale at work today.

Your avatar is another trip back in time. I grew up in upstate NY and the Adirondacks (and Catskills) were my favorite playground. I really miss it there.

I'm off the bench (will post pictures on Sunday when I get home) but will gladly share my candy corn mixed with Spanish peanuts. If you've never tried it -- yummy -- like eating payday candy bars.

Well, my fixed assests could stand to deprececiate a little (okay, so a lot). :-) And I'm certainly not balanced. Glad you had a pick-me-up waiting for you when you got home.
