I'm off the bench (will post pictures on Sunday when I get home) but will gladly share my candy corn mixed with Spanish peanuts. If you've never tried it -- yummy -- like eating payday candy bars.
OOH, I will send candy corn mixed with Spanish peanuts to my soldier in their Halloween boxes and tell them the idea came from you! They will love it!!

koko: My avatar picture was taken with Lenny the chocolate moose in Maine last year - fun trip[/quote]

Lenny the Chocolate Moose, how awesome! Down here he would be Lenny the Chocolate Mess. Will he last indefinitely or will he be enjoyed piece by piece? Nice picture of you too.

No, I have adopted 3 military members. I support each them with a letter a week and a package a month. I love supporting our soldiers! I am also on the sewing team and letter writing team. I'm proud to be a Soldiers' Angel. Thank you for asking.

Been up for four hours and nothing yet except coffee.
Three people out the door stuffed with waffles, eggs and bacon.
Two dogs also stuffed with dog food and people left overs.
Neighbor dropped off a homemade Italian bread with sesame and homemade butter. Maybe time for me to have some!

Is there a site to explore and decide if one would like to adopt a soldier?

Please go to this link. You donate $1 to offset cost of verifying your information to adopt. I am sending you my email address in case you need any help. http://soldiersangels.org/join-or-adopt.html

Lenny has an air conditioned environment and fencing around him so no one nibbles on or touches him but you can take as many pictures with him as you like. Not sure how long he's been there or how long he'll stay but he's pretty impressive. The candies for sale at this shop were delicious so I imagine Lenny would have been tasty in his day as well!!

Very Nice! I didn't even know they had these volunteer opportunities. Just wondering... what does the sewing team do?
