As promised, just a little late, here are photos of my September SP package from Rusty's Mama.

The backdrop is a UFO she sent me. I can only say that if my stitching gets half as good as hers, I will be one happy quilter. I have plans to turn it into a table topper for my Walnut dropleaf table. However, for the time being, it is now one of my WIP's.

There is a knitting book, some counted cross-stitch cloth (I have decided to revive this interest), and a magazine. Two patterns, a rabbit wallhanging, if I had a bucket list this would be on it, I just need to develop a little more skill and knowledge before I attempt this one. A Hummingbird Stain Glass Wallhanging -- this one will also have to wait for more skills, knowledge, and plenty of ambition.

The lovely blue fabric is going into the in-house retreat project this coming Thursday (not all of it, some will be saved for a future project). The Werther's Candy has been adequately tasted by my Mother and I (at her insistence). A crocheted red, white and green dishcloth (saving this to use during the Holidays). Everything came packed in a convenient drawstring bag which will be used to store all these wonderful items.

Can you tell how much I love the UFO, I took multiple photos. I want to be sure everyone sees how awesome it is.

Thank you so much Rusty's Mama for the great package.

For some reason manufacturers are make the thread thicker and the needle holes smaller. No really. I noticed that a few years ago.I seem to have more and more trouble threading them. When I was in my twentys the holes were bigger cause I could thread one with no trouble.Have a good sunday everyone. Mary
Mary I have one of those automatic threaders and really don't like them, only certain needles can be threaded with them... haven't used mine but once....

Krystyna - How did you get into that business and how long have you been doing it? Sounds fascinating!!! SharonAnne
I've run my internet business for about 12 years - and that was accidental. A series of events starting with finding some objects in a trash bin at an estate sale, losing a political job after the group I was working for lost an election, and the need to earn money for my son's high school tuition.

One thing lead to another and I started selling vintage veils I found. Then I purchased from a wholesaler - paying too much and they weren't too nice. Fast forward to an estate sale where I found a lot of lace and though, hmmm, I can use this to make veils. So I bought a Singer on sale at Kohl's for $79 and started sewing. Not knowing how to do something never stopped me from doing it. Now I have five working machines and my house is bursting at the seams with lace. (Pun intended) That source that I initially purchased veils from no longer sells retail and seems to have problems with fulfilling wholesale orders so for the moment, I am the veil lady! I never in a million years intended to become a veil maker, but life takes odd twists and turns.
What an awesome story, Krystyna!!! Thanks for telling it... I love how life unfolds so unexpectedly. What a change in YOUR life!! When I got laid off 2 years ago, I was actually excited to see what would be next - not depressed like most would expect me to be. Getting laid off got me into quilting and crafting - and putting things into boutiques. More of a hobby, though, because I did not make much money at it. But you have made yours into a great success. Congratulations on your excellent business sense.

SharonAnne (sorry, I put my name at the end - I just get confused when so many people answer and I can't figure out who said what the way the board prints things out - I'm just clueless about that sometimes).
