I haven't been on the board or posting much the last few days and wanted you to know that my mother did pass quietly in the very early morning hours of yesterday. During her declining health I found comfort and humor in the postings on the secret pal swap site which helped me to cope and release some of my stress! I have appreciated the prayers and thoughts that people sent to me and for their caring attitude. Please feel free to share if you feel it is appropriate.

Jenny took Shane to his appointment at the burn center the other day. There wasn't much damage done to his hand. Only a little done to the inside of his palm. The Doctor said it will take about 3-4 weeks for it to heal and a little done to his fingertips, but there is no damage done at all to the nerve of his hand. He has to go back in a week to have the dead skin cut off and have more of the burn cream put on his hand.

They went to the fair the other day and he didn't get to go on any of the rides because his hand was all bandages up and he just cried. He also didn't get to play in his soccer game so he didn't fall and break it open, but he dressed down anyways and went to be there for his team.
