I've been so busy, I've hardly had time to get on here. I am going to have to skip next month. I will be having company all month long off and on. Plus my guild is getting ready for a craft fair and I have been sewing like crazy. I miss ya'll!

I got a wonderful package from Linda R a couple of weeks ago, did pm her and Lori right away and planned to take a pic.the next day but totally forgot. Tuesday I realized I still needed to do that so I picked up the package with the items in it (kept them in there after opening so they would be together when I took my picture) and took a picture. Put my memory card in the computer and to my horror a big ole ERROR message came up and a window opened to ask if I wanted Windows to try to fix the error and I said ok. more than 30 minutes later it was just sitting there frozen so I took it out. Tried to see if the pic was available tonight and half the pictures on my memory card won't open. I fear I may have lost all of them.
Sorry I can't show you Linda's great items but I'll describe them: a cute clutch bag made with selveges, containing 2 Milky Way caramel only-the bar was all caramel. A quiltsmart small pocket bag Kit with rose / paisley fabric, a package of Texture Magic-it says it shrinks up fabric in all directions-for creating texture; a tube of iron-off, which I suspect I will be needing after using the texture magic; 4 gorgeous shades of blue fabrics; 2 really comfy mechanical pencil, and a lovely note. Thank you for a great package-I was amazed to discover the all caramel Milky Way as I have never seen them.
I have missed a lot of the postings this month but it sounds like there are quite a few things going on with members. I will be keeping all of you in my prayers for what ever your needs are whether they were posted or not. Maybe I can go back through this weekend. And especially some prayers for Bryce grandson of Segasal as he was born on my birthday.

I have a question about the secret pal questions.... one of the questions is if you have any hobbies other then quilting. Fair question .
Tonight my daughter taught me how to make a scarf using Red Heart Boutique Sashay Sequins type yarn but its not normal yarn this is really soft. Its made with Acrylic and polyester. I am really considering adding "making scarves" as a new hobby even though this is my first time making one. Would you be offended if I were your secret pal and asked for some of this yarn as something that I would like to receive? Oh and my secret pal for October will be a recepient of one of these scarves as it was my daughters idea for me to make it for my October pal.

If I were to be your Oct SS, I would love to receive one. I think that it would be ok to send in an SS package because we send other stuff like candy and notecards etc beside quilting items and I think also that it would be something you could request on your form. Just MHO.

I received my Sept SS box yesterday from newquilter10 and it was packed with lots of fall items. I will post pics this evening. Thank you again Linda (and Allen) for the thoughtful items you included.

Hi Ladies - Knitette was right when she said this wasn't my month. I just want to go crawl under a rock until September is over. You know how I said on my "assorted other mothers" I really only had one left, and she was far away...as of this morning, I am down to zero. "Aunt Lena" was one of my church prayer partners, and the great aunt of my two best church friends. She passed at the Baptist Home for the Aged at 99, less than 3 months shy of 100. I am so glad I gave her the quilt I made her for her 99th, as we were going to visit and her niece told me her room had no colors in it at all. She was a quilter until her eyesight failed, and this quilt was the first one that had ever been made for her. I would love to have some more of the flowered fabric, as this quilt and I had separation anxiety This is how I will remember her best. She will always have a special place in my heart.
