Love September, too. Have heaps of fall fabrics. But we still need to finish August first, and I finally chose a pattern yesterday.

I got it! I got it! My adorable AMISH AMISH quilt arrived in the mail yesterday and I think my sweet partner did a super job. She made me an Amish Sunbonnet Sue all in her amish clothing.. no patterns to be found. She also was so very generous and tucked in two fat quarters with little cats on them (could NOT go wrong there) and one with ladybugs and no I am not sharing. Greedy and confessing to it right now. Thank you again Kathy I will happy to add it to my quilt wall of fame. I love going in that room and staring at the little projects I have hung up. Inspiration. And Bjolly you just stop it right there. (momma bear here) This is the truly one exchange that is just done out of kindness and friendship extended to fellow quilters. WE DO not have whinners here or those who say yours is better than mine or any variation of that theme.. heck, they have the scarlet B on the forehead BANNED never to sign up. Ihad a truly tough time with the whole Amish thing but after doing a black one miserably I recalled someone here had said white was also a major player in Amish quilts and let me say, white was so much easier to work with. That and they hey just try your best and your pal will be thrilled you tried at all. Honest. Watch yours will come out just fine. Smile. You tried. That alone is worth a glass of .. hot chocolate (they serve that here by the fire) or an iced cold lemonade if your living in hotsville. Its all good.

Oh Elisabrat I adore your DQ. I just came back from Amish country in northern Indiana and the little Sunbonnet Sue looks just like the little girls we saw there. Love the FQ too!
