Yum, Brat! I'm coming over for dinner. Alas, there will be no broiling here. I would rather lick the bottom of my shoe than put food in the broiler in this apartment. Blechhhhh. Dreaming of going back home ...

I take that back. I am grateful to have a place to live that is so much nicer than what many in this world have to endure. What an ingrate I am.

Yet another switcheroo ... Nise is now partners with Jean D since I had two partners and she had none.
    I'm giving myself a headache.
    Sew on!!!

I think you're on to something - we all need to be grateful for what we have (be it a little or a lot) - there are plenty with way less. I was complaining about my SS checks being small, but I do get enough in that check to pay my bills and stay in my house - I won't get rich on it, but I will survive. Thank you for reminding me of that!

Nice work, Nana Val. Look at those perfect points!

Onalee, when I need to catch up I go to the address bar at the top, copy it and then paste into a new browser window. That way I can read from one and put comments in the other without posting 10,000 times or forgetting anyone.

And speaking of not forgetting anyone, let's all keep CQR covered in prayer today as she goes to the next stage of her treatment.

oh shoot the swap is full (lol). I will join August promise. I will be a lurker and pest this month. Lucky you guys! I am hoping to get a head start on a couple other projects first like a round robin and some boom blocks. also a quilt that is saying get on me .. I have the blocks have I sewn them together? NOOOOO and another with 4 patch blocks all done just need to be sewn together.. so you see, projects line up around me. never once will you hear me say I am bored. phew!

Krystyna you can bake those ribs for 1/2 an hour after you unfoil them at 350 to make the bbq sauce stick a bit and carmelize. no licking shoes for you. (I hope).

Well you all have me beat in the cooking dept - I did pork chops on the grill & cheesy scalloped potatoes. Feeding three grown men is a lot of work lol - I forgot how much food they consume. Have my plan in place for my quilt and got a lot done today actually. Lots more to do but I am liking it so far. I always get the best ideas right before I fall asleep - does that happen to anyone else? And Krystyna - I totally understand how you feel. We are living in a place we want out of also - not for the unfortunate reason you have (BIG HUGS) but I can sympathize. We lived in the country for 18 years and when we moved we grabbed a house in the village - ugh. I am just miserable. But on the up side we are focused on our goal of getting out of here come April 2014. Its just hard to be patient some days. I can't wait for the quiet and space. And chickens, gardens, maybe a llama??? sigh... a girl can dream.

I just left the mountains for the countryside. I loved my mountains a whole heaping lot. I however also love the countryside. I do not love cities. cars, people, shopping, people, cars, uh NO. give me chickens and horses and cows anytime. I wish I had chickens that is also my goal in a year being in somewhere that I can have chickens. just like 3 but I want chickens and ok 1 duck. thats it. no big dreams of big critters. love them just more work than this body can do. I do have neighbors with horses and cows however. so its almost like having my own lol less cost and work!

Ok! I am waiting for Nise to respond, and see what fun we can have! Went shopping today and found to many trinkets at the craft store, but stayed away from fabric!
