Bored? Never! Ahhh, wish we were closer. I used to visit Lake St. Claire all the time. Bad girl that I was (am?) when we lived in Brooklyn Heights where there is NO parking ... we used to have Michigan plates on the car and ho ho ho at the parking tickets. Can't do that any more. They impound your car!

I have had quilts displayed in the local library all this month of May and I thought you would like to see that some of the quilts on display were sent to me by my lovely dolls quilt swap partners. I was overwhelmed with the positive comments and interest shown by library users. I will have another display next year.

Photo 1 shows my smaller quilts.
Photo 2 shows many of the quilts received through this dolls quilt swap.

I love showing your quilts to my local quilting friends.

Gorgeous array of quilts Lynnie! Hmmm...now I must pay attention to what you have and what you don't have that can add to that collection.

They are wonderful, Lyn. And how nice that your swap partners' work is on display, too. What a thrill!

Lynnie, What a beautiful display of quilts. I'm sure they were much admired by viewers. I think sometimes people who have no interest in quilts think of them as something old grannies make to keep warm. Before I decided to quilt I had no real idea of the beautiful and artistic planning that went into the quilts. It waas an eye opening experience for me and i'm sure for many others that see them. Might even stir the artistic bug in someone to get started quilting.

I agree with your comment Sweetwaterquilter. In my case I just felt it was something that doesn't interest me at all because it seemed boring. Fast forward 2 yrs later of sewing... I enjoy it! Where I think I am not the creative type at all, someone else makes a comment to the contrary. It is fun and relaxing to say the least!

Lyn; How nice that all looks!! I really need to get mine displayed in my home in a way that I can enjoy them all together and guests can, too. We are artists for sure!
