Oh come on! YOU not do weird? Give us a break!
Make a traditional crazy quilt. It's NOT hard at all.
The basic idea is foundation piecing. Cut a five sided piece at random, and piece the sides from there.
    You can do it!

    I am IN.

Here's a little peek at the wedding favors we've been slaving over ... done on my embroidery machine. Some are white on blue tissue lame and others are blue on iridescent organza. The stone is blue like Melissa's sapphire engagement ring. There is a little organza bag attached with three Jordan almonds - three for the Trinity and almonds for luck and sweetness. We only have one tied to the sack so far ... EEEEKKKK!

WOW!!! That is beautiful, thoughtful, wonderful, all that and....... NUTS!! LOL That is a lot of work for the favors, you are a wonderful MIL and DM to this couple. Have a wonderful weekend, we will all be thinking of you. Try to finish up early so you can spend a little time just breathing and enjoying!! What don't get done won't be noticed, unless it happens to be sewing the sleeve on DH shirt or, heaven forbid, the bossom to your dress. LOL Love it, have fun, enjoy, all that stuff.

If I have this correct the quilt has a "theme" that we embellish? I have a few ideas running in my head and I am getting excited for this.

Yes, ideally you should try a Crazy Quilt, but if you aren't comfortable with that, do something wonky or off kilter. We had a lot of fun with crazy quilting last year.
