Jetnica, your block is great! It will shine in someone's quilt....like mine! You can do the applique - just take it slowly. I would also suggest that you use Steam-a-Seam 2, which is a light adhesive and doesn't have the heavy feeling that other products have. I've machine appliqued for years and with Steam-a-Seam 2, you don't even have to cut out the middle to keep it supple. Good Luck! Belles

I found some marbled/batik dk blue fabric with snowflakes today at LQS. It's in the washing machine. I hope to make a few blocks tonight...keep your fingers crossed for me ;)

I think so, too. I can clearly visualize the snowflake on it, so it's definitely got enough contrast.

Thanks, I love cutting out snowflakes, use to do it by the hour when I was a kid, the Oregon weather too nasty to go out.

My blocks are done!!!! Yea. Finally finished them. Made snow lady with apron and bonnet. Turned out prescious. Gonna get my daughter to help figure out how to post pics. Never downloaded any in computer to try other than my avatar. Tried once to post to msg section and it came out way too small. Don't give up on me tho. (Smile) Got the want-to down to pat, now gotta learn to How-to.

OK my swapping friends, I've finished appliqueing my Snowy Quilter and her boyfriend and decided to call them the "Snowy Couple". Here is their photo and, if I say so myself, they make a darling twosome. Hope you like them and I'm sure they'll find a welcome home in your quilt.
