Anyone else making good progress on the snowmen blocks-??

I was going to make snowman yo-yos than stitch them (securely) to
a block center, but in the end I decided to use the snowman for the
ornament swap.

I think that doing embroidered blocks (machine embroidery) is how I
am going to go with my blocks.

I have a question regarding embellishments.

Can hot fix crystals be used on the blocks?
Just curious, thought I would ask before I get to far into
making my blocks.

I truly need to knuckle down and get some blocks made. So busy with the quilt show coming up in October that I have not taken the time to do my blocks. I have a few weeks to get them done. I just finished up another swap committment last night so feeling much better about being a part of this one.
