We fill gallon ziplock bags with items for the homeless shelter to dispense to the men and women patrons there. They can contain things like coffee packets, cocoa, teas, sweeteners, caps, gloves, socks, combs, toiletry items, hard candy, soap, washcloths, toothbrushes and tooth paste, hand warmers, small food gift cards, etc. This is one of our ECA county projects that we do before Christmas every year. You would be surprised what you can carefully pack into a gallon bag, which can also be folded up and used later by the recipients. It's just a little something to try to help with the weather getting colder.

Zozee I agree lol. It's not that my work is perfect I just want it to be! Sometimes I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to quilting. Believe me I don't think anyone will be disappointed with
    your work.

The bottom of the lavender blocks were cut off in the photo, I assure you there is 1/4" of the white fabric under the points. I tried several times to get a decent picture but it wasn't meant to be today! Maybe in the future I will just post one photo of each of the sets as they are completed..

Been debating on whether to participate, I see the decision is to make WOW with spring floral with the pattern from Quilters Cache. I have only a few questions, sorry, I like to work with either non washed fabric, or if it has to be washed ( didn't see it in the rules) is it okay to use starch to stiffen my fabric. I just feel it helps with precision. Also I have a dog and though he is rarely in my "Toy Room" I may carry a hair on me while sewing. So before I commit, is the starch and the fact I have a dog okay?
