Bluelady you are correct if you want to add something to the center block, such as an applique, embroidered item or cross stitch that would be fine. please see post #59 posted by NZquilter she posted a link of a churn dash with a pretty design in the center block. Hope this answers your question.

Armylady2012, Thanks for your new response about sets and total of blocks. It seems now you have confirmed that we can send sets of 4 blocks, and a maximum of 5 sets (20 blocks). Your private message to me seemed to indicate otherwise, so you totally confused me!

I have joined! Let the fun begin. Now.. time to round up the florals.. and unearth the sewing machine.. I have not sewed for about 3 years so this is a great project to jump back into.

Yes, thank you, and thanks for posting link to the photo. I'll check my stash ASAP and see what I have.

ArmyLady, we can also fussy cut the center block, right? Or just leave it plain WOW. I was so tempted by a bird print I saw at Joann's for the fussy cut center.

Can the center be pieced/paper pieced?

Ok, I'm in. Just to be sure, I'm using that Quilterscache pattern. Making one set of 4 12 1/2 raw blocks plus one for me. I've not entered this kind of thing before.

I've got trouble here. The pattern for me turns out too big. Has anyone else made a test?
