so, we had a good time with our b&w block swap. And now I'm on a mission to reduce stash significantly. So- who's up to a swap of:

2 1/2" strips- often called noodles.

length is from selvage to selvage (please include the selvages). most fabric is now 40" to 42" selvage to selvage.

    1 set is 40 noodles.

Can be any color- the more colors/prints, etc. the better. Make 1 of each color per set. (40 different colors will make a really scrappy quilt)

You can use these for lots of strip quilts. One is strip twist from quiltville.com. I also have a book- can of worms and there's a can of worms 2. Many many different uses.

So who's in? Once we get the interest level- we can decide on dates for sign up, receipt, etc.

    Thanks!
    Barb

So this slow person understands -- I send you 40- 2 1/2"x WOF strips of one fabric -- or can I use 40 (or less) different fabrics. You send me back 39 different ones?? :D

    yes.

I was thinking about this- make sure when you cut, they are straight. If you get a V, the fabric isn't folded correctly.

I would be interested, are you washing the fabric or just as it is? I would prefer just as it is...it would definitely be easier.

so how about a maximum of 4 of each color in a set of 40? Would that help people?

I'm cutting a top right now and as I do each color I am cutting 2 strips for 2 sets. they are washed.
