Wow what an easy block to make, I kept thinking I must be doing something wrong this is to easy, but it was right. I live in West Virginia and have been without power for 5 days, it finally came back on today and I have made all 64 of my blocks today, now to get the info put on each block then I'll be ready to mail.
Anyone thinking about joining this block is so easy and quick to make. I hope we get all 64 people to join so we can have a big variety of blocks for our quilt. I can't wait to get all my blocks back from each person this is a fun swap I'm glad I joined it.

Somebody asked if this was an easy block! YES!!!!! In fact, I end up with an extra HST because of this block. When I sew down the center of the little block, I go back and sew another seam 1/2" away toward the corner. When I cut off the excess between the two seams, this gives me a mini HST block for another purpose! So I'm getting two for one!
I used this technique for a signature quilt for a young (8yo) family member that has cancer. His classmates signed the blocks. The little HST that were left over became a baby quilt! I love two for one events!
Join the fun! This is my second swap, so maybe I'll have enough to make a wall hanging. That would be great to look at in my sewing room to remind me there are others like me in the world!
