I agree with booklady, this is probably the easier block i've ever made that looks so pretty when it's done. I hope more will join this swap.

I think what she's talking about I also described in post #62. We turned the scrap corners into HST.

Booklady, DUH! I've been such a dummy! I save those little triangles and I also make mini triangles, but I hadn't thought to sew the seam before cutting off the triangle! Walla! Thank you! I am a happy camper!

I got mine all signed and ready to mail tmw!!

I have a question for you ladies, when you are out and about and run into a quilt store do you pick up fabric when you are there just cause you like it? and how much do you usually get? I am going to be going on vacation and was wondering when I stop by all the quilt shops on my way ( or well when hubby will stop, lol) what happens if I find material I like how do I know how much of it to get if I have no pattern in mind for it yet? Does it make since

Arounds70- yes that makes sense and it is an very good question with so many answers

For me it depends if I really LOVE it - how much is the price - do I think I will find it elsewhere- what might I want to make with it later ... I know not much help am I LOL

If it is spendy I will get anywhere from a fat quarter to a yard - if it is a really good price I might buy a couple yards. I have bought "cute" fabric thinking a tote bag , so I get a fat quarter- if I am thinking quilt a yard

    If I love it, a yard...if I can't live without it, 2 yards.
