I got in some very thoughtful thank you cards, from last month's mug rug swaps... one on the right from Jacie, the one on the left from NanaKathy55..who also enclosed some lovely handmade pins/stilettos. I just have to share a pic, look at those lovely pins:

    Thank you both!
Kathy, I saw some pics of similar pins/stilettos and I wanted one sooo bad, so I think you may share the "esp-n" my son and I tease about having..
    Regards,
    Kif

Kif, i'm very slowly working on the hexes. my hands cramp up when I hold the pcs. so tightly in my hand. I try not to hold to tightly, but I need tokeep it all together, you know what I mean?? so it's on the back of the couch in mid state. Every week I add a few more pcs. I made the pcs first. then the units, then the units have to go to rows and then they get attached. so goling now. working on the mystery quilt now. doing 2 at a time at least one for charity, maybe both. if they turn out good, there will be 2 for charity.

    Lynnie,
Hate that for you about your hands...it's a great idea to just do a few at a time. After all, it's a step by step process to do anything...no matter how slow or fast we do it..

Kif, i'm figuring in about 5 yrs it will be done. I was gung ho on that quilt. working hard everyday, then the back and neck kicked in and away went my hopes of having it done for the new year. Between all the nerve damage and arthritis, well, it's a lost cause to hope for it to be done anytime soon, but it's going to be bigt when it's done, bc i'll probably die b4 it's done. i'll just keep pushing along. when it was small a row took a few hrs. now that it's getting bigger, rows take forever. thanks for asking about it.

Kif, if you like those pins, you should join in the pincushion swap. Most of us usually make some to send along with our pc's.

cuppy send her coal. yup its her favorite thing ever. (she might kill me for that). ok coal licorice might be good. for me thinking she will love most things but it is always good to ask. if your worried can they eat sweets be sure to ask and if they cant think sewing. pins! buttons! thread! always well loved and used. fat quarters.. something small easy to include with your mug rug and well still a treat. tea bags, small bags of coffee (my store sells these one pot bags of their coffee). know the dollar store has those too! a home made card. think outside of the box. you will find all sorts of good ideas. cards! who doesn't need more gift cards? I got four for Christmas and man those are like little gifts each and every one of them

those pins are gorgeous aren't they? I would love a small lesson in how to make those too. my friend has tons and tons of beads. and stone beads. and crystals. would love to send her a web page so she could make me some! so please share !!!! bet most of us craft in other areas also. I love water colors and anything that uses glitter lol and of course beads and sparkly attachments I love all of those. I used to do a lot of embroidery but my eyes are not so good for that any more. even with my fancy readers on! sigh. what do you do??

I search out targets dollar spot. some great finds there. once I found the cute pointy emb scissors there. they made some nice extra gifts with the pkg. like Brat said, use your imagination. if it caught your eye, someone else can probably use it too. Hopefully, Monday my partner will rec. her goodies bag from me.

Coal??? Thanks a lot Brat! Seriously, wasn't there hard candy years ago that looked like coal? Was it licorice flavor? Does anyone remember that?

Vitality, I use super glue when I make my pins. You have to be very careful though. I've already glued my fingers and that wasn't fun!

Just for the record. I like every kind of candy except dark chocolate. I even like licorice!
