klaws, I remember a black coal candy around Christmas, I think it was black roc candy for the stockings.
I bought it at a general store for my son about 15 yrs ago. all I remember was his face all black while licking it.

Terriamn, your package is in the post today. Hope you enjoy it. My Mom was trying to keep it for herself.

Vitality, I use super glue when I make my pins. You have to be very careful though. I've already glued my fingers and that wasn't fun!

Just for the record. I like every kind of candy except dark chocolate. I even like licorice!
    Lynnie,
I love that memory you shared!! Too cute.

    Klaws,
    I can't believe you said, er typed...the "L" word!!
My long lost sister from another mother with a similar brother (say that 3 times fast...lol) has betrayed me... This almost reminds me of the "presidential broccoli controversy" a few years back. Haha

I think one time our mug rug theme should maybe sweets...then everyone can make licorice theme mug rugs and send them ALL to me...Bwahaahaaa!! Then I would love licorice!!! Yep, I surely would...and I'd take pics and share with everyone!!
But any extra goodies could be non "licorice-y" . That's a real word, it's in the "Kifasaurus".

    Krazy Kif

I can see it now. a cupcake surrounded by yummy fabrics, or just bright candy looking fabric. i'm off to make one, it's on my to do list for a mugrug.

    Lynnie,
I agree!! I have sweets and candy fabrics, so it would be too fun!

    Klaws,
Thanks for the pin cushion swap invite/reminder. One of these times I'm going to show up over there...and you will say, "Why oh why did I remind that big mouth about this swap?.!".

PeginCO just posted pics over on the October fq swap thread of a beautiful apron she made with fqs she received in October from SheriR. I hope it's ok that I did cut and paste to share the pic here where we're all currently looking. It was just too lovely not to share it!
    Peg,
I tried to post both pics, but it keeps showing only the 1 pic twice when I do. Maybe you can post the other one...

Since I cannot actually eat sweets, treats, cakes or pastries at all.....I LOVE the idea of a Mug Rug Sweet Swap! That way I can at least LOOK at sweets that can't hurt me. LOL
