I made it to the post office in time and it's on the way. ----1 reminder please---whoever has my name, if you have a cat please mark the package so I know. Hubby needs to check it out first, I'm very allergic to cat hair. Thank you

Jaba I am sorry to hear you are allergic, but no pets here for future reference for all the ladies.

Those allergies can be pretty miserable for sure. For some reason cat hair makes me break out in hives and sometimes even turn to blisters. If a package isn't marked my husband opens it first and vacuums whatever it is and sprays with Fabreze and then lets it air out before he brings it into the house. All's good then
Armylady, EQ is a computer program that lets you design quilt blocks and quilt patterns. It can help you visualize different layouts for quilts you may want to make.

you can see the lessons I wrote on how to use the EQ software. It will give you an idea of how it works.

EQ means Electric Quilt software. THere are several diff programs. I use my EQ5 the most but I also have EQ6 and EQ7.

I like it because you can put in your own fabrics and you can turn blocks and change colors with a click. I've had mine since 2006 and I have designed all of my quilt blocks and quilts on it. I wrote 4 ebooks and did all of the pictures for my books in my EQ5. I like it to jot down an idea I saw so I won't forget it. or something I want to try that I thought of I put it in the eq.

I'm really am an old school, graph paper kind of girl.

If you think you would like to design patterns it is a great tool to use.

I have the EQ5 program and have designed a few quilts. It takes time to learn the program and newer versions are probably easier. You really have to devote some time to it and once you get the basics it becomes second nature to use. As with any skill, if you don't use it....

Is EQ7 the latest version? I think there is one version for miniature quilts too but not sure about that.

It is one more tool that helps you to grow your skills.
