I am in with the head-cold-that-will-not- quit and have had a delightful time making my very first fabric postcard.
I will spend the night putting sequins on with French knots. My brain cannot stretch any farther but this is pretty rewarding. Another addiction?

Hi,
Don't officially sign me up just yet. ;) I'm having some "technical difficulties" in designing my postcards (arggh! LOL!), and want to make sure I can get them like I want them before making a solid commitment. I'll let you know for sure in plenty of time for the deadline, though. :)
Thanks!

Okay. I think I've got the kinks worked out. It wasn't so much a problem with the postcards themselves, but designing a feasible way to mail them that would meet the swap's/my/post office's specifications.
My hubby works 12-hour shifts and is going to physical therapy (2+ hours) twice a week, and I've got a bad knee and can't stand in line at the post office. I reaaaaally didn't want to have to ask DH to go for me. The poor guy's totally exhausted when he finally gets home. So .... I was trying to think of a way that I could mail the postcards from home (like I do my other packages), AND get Delivery Confirmation on them as per the rules, AND get the cards themselves postmarked.
The problem is that you can't get DC on a plain ol' postcard, and if I mail them in an outer mailer, the postcard itself wouldn't get postmarked (since I can't make it to the post office to have them hand-canceled).
I print my normal shipping labels through PayPal, so what I'll do is print an extra copy of the label and adhere the postmark information to the postcard ... and mail the whole thing in an outer mailer so I can use DC.
Problem solved ... four hours of brainstorming later!
(I'm so confused now! LOL! ;) )
I'll PM my address in just a bit. :)

It's not done but am looking for feedback. Whatcha think? This is the first time that I've done a fabric postcard.
I need to trim it to 4x6 yet. will probably add a black border to it to "frame it". it attached it to a 4x6 piece of card stock. there is thin batting (not sure what kind) between the card stock and the fabric.
Need to figure out what else to do to it.
